What is HD Brows?
HD Brows is a product and treatment that can be completely tailored to you. It is not just an eyebrow wax and tint. It is so much more. It includes custom blended colour, hair removal and makeup application for brows that suit you.
What is the HD Brows Sculpt?
The HD Brows Sculpt is a brow lamination. It helps you to achieve full, fluffy looking eyebrows and gives you symmetry as well. Brow lamination is a two-step treatment that sets the hair in place using a chemical solution.
A cream is applied so it can break down the bonds in the eyebrow hairs. This is so they can be manipulated into place.
Another cream is then applied to rebuild the hair bonds, so they can resume their growth and new position.
If your eyebrows are flat or your hair grows downwards, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of the hair growth, to create a more defined look with a higher arch. Brow lamination lasts around 4-6 weeks. With proper aftercare the treatment can last up to 8 weeks in total.
How to look after your HD Brows in the first 24-48 hours after treatment?
- Avoid spray tans and any self tanning products for 3 days before and 3 days after your treatment.
Once these time frames are up, you can carry on as normal.
How can I reduce redness after an eyebrow wax and threading?
It is normal to experience redness around the brow after a waxing and threading treatment. It is nothing to worry about though. It is simply just the body's reaction to where the hair has been removed. It should settle down after a few hours.
Avoid using exfoliators or any other creams as this will irritate the skin. If you have sensitive skin, it may be a good idea to let your stylist know. They can apply a barrier to help the skin when waxing. If you are prone to Acne or bumps on the skin appearing after a wax treatment, try to avoid touching the area as this will clog up your pores. It will also allow bacteria to enter your skin. If you experience any swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, cuts or grazes contact your stylist straight away.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
It is best advised not to wear any heavy makeup for up to 24 hours after your treatment. Applying makeup could lead to skin irritation and bumps/spots in your pores.
Can I get my HD Brows wet?
Yes you can get them wet, however, do not do anything extreme for a few days, such as swimming etc. Showers are fine to take, but avoid hot baths as the heat and moisture can irritate the skin. Please note if you have brow sculpt these cannot get wet for 24 to 48 hours.
When I book a HD Brows appointment what can I expect?
You’ll start with a consultation between you and your stylist.
This is so your stylist can look at the shape of your eyebrows and your face to see which style and shape works best for you.
A HD Brow tint is not like any other eyebrow tint. Your stylist will apply the tint around the brow to pick up any fluffy hairs.
The tint will be blended to compliment your skin tone.
Your stylist will then begin to wax your brows. This is to create the shape.
They will also keep in mind any areas where you would like hair to regrow.
Next your stylist will use threading to create a smooth, neat finish.
This removes any fluffy hairs above and below the eyebrow. This is to ensure there’s no signs of waxing.
Your stylist, if necessary will tweeze any stray hairs.
This will help to define the style of the brows.
Finishing and aftercare
Your stylist will give you some aftercare advice. It is important that you follow this advice. Your stylist may also suggest some products that
may be available to help you maintain your look.
