What Is A Sports Massage
A sports massage is a specialised form of massage that is designed to help athletes and active individuals improve their performance, prevent injury, and recover from training and competition. It typically focuses on specific areas of the body, such as the muscles and joints, and uses techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and stretching to manipulate the soft tissues.
Meet Our Massage Therapist
Meet Lily, our massage therapist at The Boutik Salon in Plymouth. She believes that helping others is the most wonderful feeling in the world. It gives her satisfaction and purpose in life. With a lot of study and practice, she has honed her skills to perfection, and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her clients. She wakes up every morning with a smile, knowing that she can help people feel their best through the power of massage therapy.
Why have a sports massage?
The goal of a sports massage is to increase blood flow, reduce muscle soreness and tension, and improve range of motion, flexibility, and overall athletic performance. By increasing blood flow, sports massage helps to oxygenate the muscles, which can reduce fatigue and improve endurance. It can also help to remove waste products such as lactic acid from the muscles, which can help to reduce muscle soreness and stiffness.
